ORAL Team report: AG preparing 33 corruption cases against former appointees – Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has announced that the Attorney-General is preparing to prosecute 33 corruption-related cases involving former government officials.

These cases originate from investigations carried out by the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Team—a special anti-corruption task force he created after winning the 2024 election.

The ORAL Team, made up of five respected figures known for their integrity—including MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and former Auditor-General Daniel Domelevo—was responsible for investigating allegations of corruption, especially under the previous administration, and submitting their findings for legal action.

Speaking at the Jubilee House on June 3, 2025, during a meeting with the African Union Advisory Board Against Corruption, President Mahama said that some prosecutions have already begun, while others are about to start.

He added that, Some investigations have uncovered significant evidence, such as illegal acquisition of properties, and dedicated investigative teams are now handling each case.
