Ghanaian Drill artist and member of the Asakaa group, Jay Bhad, has stated his intention to run for the Ghanaian Presidency in the near future. He made this statement in an interview on Pure FM in Kumasi with Mr Katah.
Jay Bhad added that his first action as a president is to legalize weed in Ghana. He stated that the there’s always a stigma against people who smoke weed in the Ghanaian society. However, it is not the case abroad.
“If you go to a city like Amsterdam, you will see that weed has contributed to the development of the city. Weed can serve multiple purposes and not just for smoking,” he said.
Referencing his hit song Odo, he reiterated that weed smokers are taken for granted and usually parents and families of wards end up disappointed when one member smokes weed or entertain the company of those who do so.
The renowned artist also claimed that he gets his weed for free and therefore does not lose money trying to purchase it.
“The streets love me, and so I have a lot of plugs who always offer weed to me for free. Theres no need to spend my money on it,” he added.
The talented artiste together with his colleagues has gained some reputation smoking marijuana and also referencing the drug multiple times in his songs.
