There's no money to transport relief items to victims of Dam Spillage - DCE of South Tongu

In a video circulating on social media, the District Chief Executive of South Tongu, Seth Kwesi Agbi has claimed that his assembly have no money to purchase fuel to transport relief items to his people in the District.
According to him, he was given only GHC 20,000.00 but the assembly have already spent it on other things. He further added that he had informed the Volta River Authority (VRA) and the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) of the issue. Despite his plea, he was only given GHC 20,000 which was not enough to cater for the needs of the victims.
On the question of what he needs more money for, he answered that the assembly needs to rent vehicles and purchase fuel in order to be able to transport relief items to the victims.
“We need money to rent and fuel a car to the people. That’s a fact, I can hide it from you. We do not have money and I’ve been asking the VRA and NADMO. As at today, we have received only 20,000 cedis and we’ve spent it already,” he said.
As to how he spent the 20,000 cedis, he failed to disclose it.
This has left people outraged as a result of the perceived apathy shown towards the victims of the dam spillage.
