Jean Mensah Confirms Final Results For Ablekuma North, Ending Dispute X

The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana, led by Chairperson Jean Mensa, has officially announced the final results of the parliamentary election for the Ablekuma North constituency. This brings an end to a long period of confusion and disagreement over who should represent the area in Parliament.

The issue started after the December 2024 general elections, when the EC canceled the original results for the constituency. They said the results were incomplete because votes from 62 polling stations had not been included. The EC also reported that their staff were threatened and put under pressure while trying to count the votes, which made the process unfair.

The cancellation caused a lot of tension among political parties and voters. People were asking for a clear and honest solution. In response, the EC met with leaders from the main political parties—the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP)—to find a way to fix the problem.

After re-checking all the votes carefully, the EC has now confirmed that Ewurabena Aubynn from the NDC is the rightful winner and will serve as the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North.

This announcement brings clarity to the constituency and shows that the EC is serious about making sure elections are fair and legal. The outcome also reminds everyone how important it is to follow the rules and allow the election process to work properly so that people’s voices are truly heard.
