Tragedy as Ghanaian footballer Raphael Dwamena passes away on football pitch

Ghanaian striker, Raphael Dwamena, who plays Egnatia Rrogozhine in the Albanian league has sadly passed away at the age of 28 years of age. Reports indicate that the Ghanaian player had collapsed on the football pitch during the 23rd minute of a league match featuring his team on Saturday. He reportedly died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.
The striker was the leading goal scorer for his team and the Albanian league recording 9 goals in 11 league games proving a career revival after playing in La Liga for teams such as Zaragoza and Levante.
It was also been reported that the footballer was advised by medics to end his career after he was diagnosed with heart disease and a long history of injuries. However, Dwamena insisted on progressing with his career.
His sudden death has saddened Ghanaians and the footballing world as yet another African Player has died from heart disease after the demise of the Ivorian, Tiote in the past decade.
