I did many dirty works for NPP but.. - Spirito Cries Out

Kumasi-based music artist and social commentator Strongman Lion Spirito has officially announced that he has parted ways with the New Patriotic Party (NPP), declaring that his path no longer aligns with the party’s. During a candid radio interview with Bullet on Sikka FM, Spirito revealed that despite his years of loyalty and commitment to the NPP, he has decided to cut ties with the political group.

According to Spirito, his decision did not come lightly. He spoke about the numerous sacrifices he made over the years in support of the party, both publicly and behind the scenes. He emphasized that his dedication to the NPP was deep and genuine, driven by his belief in their vision and leadership at the time. However, recent developments and what he described as a lack of mutual respect and recognition have led him to walk away.

“I have done everything possible to stand with them through thick and thin,” Spirito stated on-air. “But today, I want everyone to know that I have stepped away. I am no longer part of the NPP. We are on different paths now.”

Though he did not disclose specific incidents that triggered his exit, Spirito hinted at internal disagreements and unfulfilled expectations. His tone suggested disappointment, particularly with how he feels the party treated its loyal grassroots supporters and cultural influencers like himself.

The artist’s public announcement has stirred conversations among fans and political observers in Kumasi and beyond, especially as Ghana moves closer to another heated election season.
