The Paramount Chief of Tepa in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Dr. Nana Adusei Atwenewaa Ampem I, has assured cocoa farmers in Tepa of good road networks. He said this on the COCOBOD tour of the Tepa community on Monday, October 23, 2023.
The Omanhene, Nana Adusei, also confirmed that he had spoken to the
Tepa Municipal Chief Executive to lobby for the construction of roads in to aid in the transportation of goods and to facilitate trade in and outside the community.
Nana Adusei also commended the Chief Executive Officer of COCOBOD, Hon. Joseph Boahen Aidoo and his team for their work in the education of farmers in the community as well as an assurance of the increment of cocoa prices in 2024. He then reassured the Chief Executive of COCOBOD that this educative programme will not be in vain and that it would yield good results. He promised that each acre of farmland in the Tepa Community will surpass the 20-bag milestone next harvest year.
Nana Adusei also encouraged farmers to adhere to the best practices in cocoa farming as they have been thought. He also emphasized the need for farmers to avoid the use of harmful chemicals to farm since they deplete the land and deprives the soil of its ability to support plant growth.
