Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr.,Ghanaian raggae-dancehall artist. He is known by his stage name Shatta Wale, formerly Bandana.
He is best-known singles are “Dancehall King”, “My level” and “We taking over”. He is also known for “Already” from Beyonce’s Black is King which also featured Major lazer .His song “Dancehall King” earned him the Artiste of the Year at the 2014 edition of the Vodafone Ghana music awards.
Shatta Wale is also an actor who appeared in the films Never say never, The trial of Shatta Wale and Shattered Lives. Wale’s 2004 recording “Moko Hoo” was nominated for at the Ghana music awards.

Asake as a singer-songwriter burst onto the music scene with his debut album Mr Money with the Vibe, and is now performing with his stunning second album, Work of Art. The albums both debuted at 66 on the Billboard 200.
Asake dropped from a helicopter for his performance at 02 Arena. Asake’s entrance for his latest show at the 02 was one of the major highlights of the concert as the singer was seen arriving on stage for the show from a helicopter in the middle of the auditorium

Nigerian artists has been on world platforms in recent times, Davido performed at the World cup 2022, Burna Boy performed at the Champions league finals 2023 whiles Wizkid has been on many global concerts.
Although, some Ghanian songwriters such as sarkodie, stonebwoy, Black sheriff, shatta wale, Kwesi Arthur, King Promise, Kidi , Asakaa group etc has also represented on global platforms but cannot match the success of the Nigerian artist.
Shatta Wale is urging the Ghanian entertainment industry to rise, put in more energy and resources to be able to also shine proper and get to be recognize in the global entertainment industry.
