NADMO boss and the president of Ghana visits affected communities in the Akosombo Dam Spillage.

The Director General of NADMO, Hon. Eric Nana Agyemang Prempeh has visited victims as well as communities affected by the Akosombo Dam Spillage. He went with his team on Monday, October 16, 2023 whom were later joined by the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo later in the day.

Hon. Agyemang-Prempeh assured all individuals and families affected by the disaster that NADMO would work together with Stakeholders to provide interventions for the victims and find solutions to curb the situation.

The NADMO boss has been on a tour to communities since the past few days, visiting communities in the affected areas as well as encouraging and presenting relief items to them together with some government officials and organization such as the Volta River Authority.

He visited areas such in North Tongu and Central Tongu districts such as Mepa and Akpa joined by prominent officials such as Hon. Okudjeto Ablakwa, MP for North Tongu and Mr. Abu Rahman, Deputy Director of NADMO until the president arrived later on Monday.

He added that he would keep on lobbying for the affected areas to aid in the recovery of people affected.
