The minority marched to the premises of the Bank of Ghana hoping to see the Governor so they could present their petition to him, however, they discovered that the Governor had delegated a team from the Bank of Ghana led by the Director of security to rather receive the petition. The Director of Security of Bank of Ghana claimed that the Governor has been away from the country for a meeting with the IMF and therefore instructed them to take the petition.

This infuriated the minority as they thought the Governor would at least, allow his deputies to be present for the petition if he could no be there.

The minority, frustrated, declared that they would not present the petition and vowed to continue to protest until the Governor agrees to meet them himself.
