In an interview with Asempa 94.7 FM, the Hearts of Oak Board Member acknowledged that Nyantakyi’s influential roles during his tenure, including 1st Vice-President of CAF and a member of the FIFA Council, significantly enhanced Ghana’s standing in international football.
“My successor, Kwesi Nyantakyi, if he hadn’t encountered difficulties, would have been in very high positions, not only in Africa but globally. He left an indelible mark at CAF, and that has paved the way for Kurt,” Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe stated.
He praised Nyantakyi’s understanding of the game and his achievements, stressing that they contributed to the recognition Ghana continues to enjoy in African football circles.
“Kwesi performed excellently; he knew football. I worked with him and can testify to his knowledge. His achievements pushed Ghana forward, and Kurt is now benefiting from that legacy.”
