Kumasi Mayor Pledges To Give Each Kotoko Player GHS1,000 As a Winning Bonus , If They Win Hearts Of Oak On Sunday.

Kumasi Mayor, Hon. Kwasi Ofori Agyemang Boadi, popularly known as Zuba, has pledged to give each Asante Kotoko SC player the sum GHS1,000 as a winning bonus if they defeat Accra Hearts Of Oak in their Premier League clash on Sunday.
He also donated $1,000 to support the team’s preparations for the match.

Hon. Kwasi Agyemang said he and his brother Nana Owusu has been planning and preparing to come and manage the Asante Kotoko SC team to become a very high standard football club but for now it has not reached our turn. It’s now in the hands of you the players to play together as a team.

The Mayor Of Kumasi added that, Kumasi Asante Kotoko football club is for us the Ashanti’s and its one of our properties we don’t joke with. What makes us Ashanti’s is two things here; Our King of the Land, Otomfuo Osei Tutu II , He is our spirit and after that is Asante Kotoko football team that’s what keeps us going .

Also, Kumasi Mayor told the players that people who follow the team with their hearts and watch Kotoko matches in Stadium are thousands of people than they could imagine. Many people have lost their lives, left their jobs to watch Kotoko’s match. If the Kotoko performs very well in the Premier League and other African Cups like the CAF Championship , it helps people in the city of Kumasi to work wholeheartedly to foster development in Kumasi.

Furthermore, The Kumasi Mayor stated that, It’s the president John Dramani Mahama who has appointed him to Kumasi and everything that belongs to the King Otomfuo Osei Tutu II , he is following to see to it that it prospers. Also, For me being an Asante Kotoko Fan and we are playing with Accra Hearts Of Oak is a big match that we have to give everything we’ve got.

The Kumasi Mayor said that this match on Sunday means a lot to everyone in Kumasi but I’m not just talking I’m going to give each and everyone of the players including the staff GHS1,000 as a winning bonus. He said a word of prayer for the players and backs them with the spirit of the gods of the land to be with him and they should not go and disgrace Ashanti’s after all that has been said.
