Blackstars suffered shocking defeat against Comoros in 2026 world cup qualifiers

Ghana succumbed to a disappointing defeat at the hands of Comoros in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Tuesday. Which we experienced a brilliant first half from Myziane Maolina was enough to see the southern African side pull an upset over the Blackstars on home soil.

Ghana manager, Chris Hughton made several changes to the side that started in the opening World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar. That couldn’t affect the game positively of which bring good results at the end of the game. With Comoros, that was a fantastic display of which informed the Blackstars that they are also ready to make their first appearance in the World stage

Comoros made a brighter start to the game by enjoying a larger share of the possession. This contributed very well to their first win in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. That marked the punishment for the Blackstars for their poor defending  three minutes before half time.

The results from the Tuesday’s game against Comoros brings Ghana to fourth place on the table. After their disappointing defeat.
