All victims will get some relief – Hon. Nana Agyemang-Prempeh

Director-General of NADMO, Hon. Eric Nana Agyemah-Prempeh has given an assurance that all victims will receive their relief items. He made this statement during NADMO’s Press Briefing on the state of the Akosombo Dam Spillage.

Hon. Agyemang-Prempeh also assured victims that NADMO is still committed to helping them recover from the disaster caused by the Akosombo Dam Spillage.

He further added that NADMO will not discriminate against victims no matter their tribe, religion, or political affiliation, in spite of rumors and allegations of being discriminatory.

The Director-General also received donations from the Finance Ministry led by the Minister of Finance, Hon. Ken Ofori-Atta. The Ministry donated an amount of 2million Ghana Cedis in addition to some relief items.

The Minister commended the efforts and response of NADMO led by Hon. Agyemang-Prempeh since the beginning of the Dam Spillage.

Hon. Agyemang-Prempeh also told the media that NADMO will continue to work with stakeholders to ensure a quick solution to the disaster and also set a blueprint for disaster management in the future.

Hon. Agyemang Prempeh has travelled to visit the safe havens of victims displaced as a result of the Dam Spillage and heavy downpours throughout the week
